NAHREP Releases 2018 Hispanic Homeownership Report

At its 2019 Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) unveiled the 2018 Hispanic Homeownership Report. The report shows how Hispanics are contributing to a growing housing market, explores the trends and activities in Hispanic homes and families and makes recommendations on how to best attract and serve Hispanic homebuyers In 2018, Hispanic homeownership was 47.1 percent, up from 46.2 percent in 2017. This makes Hispanics “the only ethic demographic to raise their rate of homeownership” for the fourth year in a row. The report also found in states where Hispanics make up for over 30 percent of the population, there’s a Hispanic homeownership rate over 50 percent. The report concludes that “Hispanics will continue to drive homeownership gains in America for the foreseeable future.”
