Past President Zeke Morris Poised to Become Illinois REALTORS®’ Treasurer in 2020

Congratulations to past C.A.R. president Zeke Morris, EMA Realty & Management, who has been recommended as the 2020 Illinois REALTORS® treasurer. He is positioned to become the organization’s 2022 president, and the first African-American president in Illinois REALTORS® history. Zeke is the owner and managing broker of EMA Realty & Management. His brokerage is an official C.A.R. satellite campus, offering REALTORS® Real Estate School courses. Zeke also supports C.A.R. Foundation’s Zeke Morris Scholarship fund, which is awarded to those who have shown a dedication to developing Chicago’s southside neighborhoods.  He was the 2018 Chair of the National Association of REALTORS®’ Fair Housing Act Anniversary Implementation Group as well as their 2017 Fair Housing Act Anniversary Work Group. He was the 2017 Illinois REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Work Group. Recently, Zeke served as the host for C.A.R.’s forum on Fair Housing, a cause he advocates for at the local, state and national levels. In 2017, Zeke was inducted in NAR’s RPAC Hall of Fame, with a lifetime investment of over $25,000. The announcement came as a surprise in East Peoria on Tuesday, January 22nd. Selecting Zeke as incoming treasurer was a decision made by the Nominating Committee at Illinois REALTORS® annual Public Policy meetings.
