Complete Your Payment
Option 1 – Pay Online
Pay online with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover; or pay with check through TeleCheck. Click Here. You will need your Login ID (CAR/MLS six-digit ID number) and password.
Option 2. – Pay in Person
Pay in person with check, money order, credit card or cash at our following offices:

Reminders for Managing Brokers Terminating and Adding Agents
Managing brokers, below are guidelines for terminating an agent’s license through CAR, as well as adding/terminating an agent’s license for IDFPR if their portal is not working.
Notifying car of agent’s license termination
While IDFPR has changed their internal process for the termination of licensees from your roster, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® still requires that a signed off license is accompanied with each termination request.
As it generally takes the IDFPR time to process terminations and for their system to update your roster, having the signed off license is necessary for CAR staff to immediately be able to terminate that licensee from your roster. Additionally, we add the copy of the signed off license to the member’s account as proof you have made this termination request.

Notifying IDFPR of new/terminated licenses if portal is down
If IDFPR’s portal is not working properly, here’s how to submit requests:
- Email a copy of a Sponsor Card to IDFPR: email@example.com.
- IDFPR will enter the change into the system pending the payment.
- Mail a copy of the sponsor card with a paper check.
- IDFPR will process the payment and the change will become permanent.
If a NEW Applicant submits an application and the Managing Broker receives an email asking to approve them, they should simply forward that email to firstname.lastname@example.org writing that they APPROVE the addition of the person in question.
Similarly, terminations may be emailed to email@example.com.
Remind your brokers and leasing agents to avoid mls suspension: code of ethics deadline is december 31st
