Mabél Guzmán has 11 years of experience in real estate, marketing residential units and new construction developments in many of Chicago's 77 diverse neighborhoods. She has been working with partner Joseph Magdaleno for the past seven years, both bringing an eclectic mix of skill sets to their business.
Mabel has an analytical mind that anticipates and confronts every conceivable detail. Actively involved in her community, she believes in regularly contributing to local dialogue. She has participated in the last six national/local elections in assisting with voter registration and serving as an election judge, precinct captain, and poll watcher as well as driving seniors to the polls, fielding calls, and helping to coordinate staff on Election Day.
After Hurricane Katrina, Mabel participated in several Gulf Coast Recovery efforts. In November 2006, she worked at St. Bernard Parish, gutting houses for seniors and the disabled, and in August 2007, Mabel traveled with the Illinois Association of Realtors to Mobile, Alabama, to assist in completing 11 homes for families displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
Active on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Association of REALTORS, Mabel also participates on numerous committees, including: Awards Committee, Education Working Group, Finance Committee, Form/Contracts Working Group, Inaugural Committee and Land and Building Task Force for C.A.R. She is also active in state-level committees for the Illinois Association of REALTORS, including: Convention/Inaugural Working Group, Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Working Group, RPAC Political Fundraising Working Group, and Professional Standards Committee. Mabel is currently a Board member for NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals). Additionally, she served as President for the Women’s Council of REALTORS, Chicago Chapter, in 2002, and currently serves on their Governing Board.
