Is This Course Right for You?
Each student must ascertain if the class they are enrolling in and attending meets their current course requirement needs. The “School” cannot be responsible for Students enrolling in the wrong course. Once you are registered the cancellation policy stated below will apply. If in doubt, Students should contact the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation at (217) 785-9300 or at www.idfpr.com. Or, for licensing information, visit www.goamp.com to view or download a copy of the latest State Exam Candidate Handbook.
What to Wear
These are business classes and sometimes the beginning of your new career. The people you meet in this classroom are your future business associates and your networking opportunities begin today. You know you will want to make a good impression. While allowing for comfortable attire, good taste is expected and required. Business casual is appropriate. If in doubt ask yourself this question...."If I was meeting with a potential Broker (to sponsor you) or a potential client, would I wear this?" If your answer is “no”, or even “probably not”, then it's not appropriate for this class.

In many cases your physical attendance at a class is mandated by state law, if so, we are stringent in our attendance and late arrival rules. Late arrivals are disruptive to others and interrupt the flow of the class. Students MUST be on time for all required class sessions in order to receive credit for the class. 1 – 10 minutes is considered a late arrival and will be marked tardy. If a student is marked tardy more than 2 times during the course of the program they will be removed from the class and transferred to a Self-Study program so they can study at their own pace. Students MUST understand that the rules regarding class absences are NOT established by the school but by the Licesning Agency. The following is an excerpt from the Illinois Real Estate License Law –Administrative Rules as it relates to required class attendance:
75 Hr Broker Licensing Course
Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory; however, credit for absences not to exceed 10% or 7.5 hours of the total course may be made up by attending a make-up class. Absences in excess of 10% (7.5 hours) of class hours will result in an incomplete course.
30 Hour Managing Broker Licensing Course
Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory; however, credit for absences not to exceed 10% or 3 hours of the total course may be made up by attending a make-up class. Absences in excess of 10% (3 hours) of class hours will result in an incomplete course.
15 Hr Broker or Managing Broker Pre or Post Licensing Interactive Courses
Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory; however, credit for absences not to exceed 10% or 1.5 class hours (of each 15 Hour Broker program) may be made up by attendance at make-up class. Absences in excess of 1.5 hours (of each 15 Hour Broker program) will result in an incomplete course.
All Continuing Education Courses
No absences are allowed under any circumstances. To receive credit for these courses, students must be in attendance for the full class sessions.
Electronic Devices in the Classroom
No electronic devices other than approved calculators are permitted in the classroom, including telephones, signaling devices such as pagers and alarms or laptop computers. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off while class is in session. Students may not leave the class to make or take telephone calls. Doing so may result in immediate dismissal. Recording and photographic devices of any kind are not permitted in class.
In most cases a final exam will be administered at your last class session. (Exception: Appraisal Continuing Education classes do not require a final exam.)

State Licensing Examinations
While the School prepares its students as completely as possible for the state examinations, we cannot guarantee each student will pass. If a student successfully completes our course, but fails the state exam 3 times, they may re-take our course without charge within 30 days of the last failed state exam date. To receive this privilege, students must present a copy of the State Exam Fail Notice at the time of enrollment in the retake class. For complete information on State Licensing Exams go to www.goamp.com.
We Reserve the Right
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule any course or class session at any time for any reason. In these situations we will make every effort to contact each student by telephone or email as early as possible before the cancellation. If an individual class session is cancelled a make-up sessions will be provided. Your instructor will notify you at the next regularly scheduled class sessions as to the date, time and location of the make-up class. We reserve the right to cancel, substitute or reschedule any instructor for any reason without notice.
Inclement Weather Policy
It is our policy NOT to cancel classes due to inclement weather. The reason for this is that it is almost impossible for us to contact every student, enrolled in every class, at every one of our classroom locations at any single time. Some students will get the messages; some won't…some will show up for the class…some won't. All scheduled classes will go on as planned.
If a student cannot attend a class due to inclement weather they will need to contact our office as soon as possoible the next day about making up the missed class. If the majority of the students miss a class, or if the instructor is unable to make it to the class the instructor will work with the class at the next scheduled meeting to plan a make up session. Contact Kirk Antkiewicz, Registration Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event of an extreme emergency we will post any class cancellations on our website.
