Executive Vice President

Michael Cornicelli is Executive Vice President of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago. He has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate as a corporate lawyer, a management consultant, and a trade association executive. From 2001 to 2007, he served as BOMA/Chicago’s Director of Government Affairs and was responsible for the formulation and implementation of the organization’s regulatory and legislative agendas on city, county, state, and federal levels. On December 1, 2007, Mr. Cornicelli was named as BOMA/Chicago’s Executive Vice President, the organization’s highest ranking staff member. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from Miami University and a JD degree from Northwestern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and California and is registered as a lobbyist in Illinois.

BOMA/Chicago is a trade association representing the owners and managers of commercial office buildings, institutional and government buildings, and their allied suppliers and professional firms. Membership includes 268 individual buildings, representing over 82% of the office space in Chicago’s Central Business District, and 170 suppliers and professional firms that service them. The organization’s mission is to support the interests of the people and companies that own, operate, and service one of the city’s most valuable assets – its stock of quality commercial buildings.
