Mike has worked with Hanley Wood Market Intelligence over the past 6 years collecting and analyzing residential construction data. He currently manages a twenty-two county territory across Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin which includes updating existing and future residential projects on a monthly basis as well as examining and interrupting local and regional economic and demographic trends. Hanley Wood is the nation’s largest provider of residential real estate data, collecting monthly data nationally in the top housing markets across the United States. Mike and his team collect and study hundreds of unique fields of data ranging from unit sales, pricing, project inventory and closings. Mike is also an active contributing member on the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank’s Industrial Roundtable and an active quarterly participant in the Federal Reserve Bank’s Midwest Beige Book Index on housing for the Midwest region. Within the past year Mike as been quoted in Crain’s Chicago Business, The Chicago Tribune and The Pioneer Press. This year Mike has spoken at Institute of Real Estate Management’s 2009 Forecast Breakfast and the City of Lake Forest’s Town Hall Meeting on local real estate prices. Mike is a graduate of Lawrence University where he obtained a degree in economics and now resides with his wife Aurora in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.
