As a Member of C.A.R., you are invoiced for two different items:

Annual REALTOR® Membership Dues

In order to avoid, late fees, suspension or termination of membership, payments should be received by the deadlines indicated in our correspondence to you. Dues payments are non-refundable.

How to Make Your Payment

Members may make an on-time payments in the following 4 ways:

  1. Pay your dues or fees in person at any of our 3 full service branches.
  2. Pay your dues or fees via this website by logging on to your member account. Click here to log on to our Member Services Payment Screen. On the next screen you will Log on using your ID which is your six-digit CAR/MLS number. Your default password is your social security number minus the last digit. (We recommend you change your password immediately after logging in the first time by clicking Personal Information.) If you are unable to log in to CAR payment screen you may have been terminated. See below.
  3. Pay your dues or fees via telephone at 312-803-4900.
  4. Sign up for Automatic Payment for all CAR Dues & MLS fees. Simply fill out the Credit Card Automatic Payment Agreement form here. and fax back to Membership, (312) 803-4905.

How to Make a Late Payment after MLS Service Suspension

Members may make a late MLS Fee payment after a Suspension of Services in the following 3 ways:

  1. Pay your fees in person at any of our 3 full service branches.
  2. Pay your fees via this website by logging on to your member account. Click here to log on to our Member Services Payment Screen. On the next screen you will Log on using your ID which is your six-digit CAR/MLS number. Your default password is your social security number minus the last digit. (We recommend you change your password immediately after logging in the first time by clicking Personal Information.) Allow a MINIMUM of 24 hours to restore your MLS services. See below.
  3. Pay your fees via telephone at 312-803-4900. Allow a MINIMUM of 24 hours to restore your MLS services.

If you have been Terminated for non-payment of Annual Dues or Semi-Annual MLS Fees the following applies:

CAR Bylaws Article XII - Dues and Assessments:

Section 12.4, E - "A Member teriminated for unpaid financial obligations pursuant to this Section may apply for reinstatement in the same manner prescribed for new applicants for membership. Any such reinstatement shall be subject to such reinstatement fee as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors from time to time to full payment of all unpaid financial obligations." At this time the Board of Directors has not presribed any additional "reinstatement" fees.

MLS Bylaws Article VI - Membership Requirements and Participation:

Section 6.1,E, 2 - "If dues, fees, fines, or other assessments are not paid within 60 days after the due date the membership of the non-paying Primary, Secondary, or Participant Member Firm shall automatically terminate. Any terminated Member Firm shall pay all fees as prescribed for a new applicant, plus all prior outstanding financial obligations, which prior outstanding obligations shall remain due and owing and in full force and effect notwithstanding any termination."
