Mastering E-mail Negotiations in Real Estate

Course Description

This one-day course covers negotiations by e-mail, fax, text message, and instant messaging. The inherent difficulty of these written negotiations – where only your written words are used – is that your voice and body language are minor or non-existent parts of the process. Since research shows that your voice and non-verbal cues can be the most important factors in communication / negotiation, how can you negotiate effectively using only written words? There are successful strategies. As e-mail negotiations become more common, it is important to know the techniques – both what to do and what not to do – to ensure the best possible outcome for your client and yourself.

After taking this class students will be able to:

  • Confidently know when to use e-mails vs. face-to-face or phone to negotiate
  • Effectively negotiate contracts and conversations via e-mail with anyone
  • Organize and write e-mails for maximum persuasiveness
  • Reduce or eliminate being misunderstood in e-mails
  • Close more deals using e-mail negotiations
