C. Michelle Panovich
Principal, Mid-America Asset Management, Inc.
Michelle Panovich is one of the Senior Partners with primary responsibility as one of the operating partners of Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. Michelle has over 30 years of real estate construction, development and management experience, with the last 23 years concentrated in the shopping center industry. Ms. Panovich is responsible for development services, client coordination, construction management, receivership services, property management and accounting for all of the properties managed by Mid-America Asset Management.
At Mid-America, she has successfully provided the management and redevelopment of several major properties, such as Streets of Woodfield in Schaumburg, Illinois and Brickyard Mall in Chicago, Illinois, and the economic
revitalization of downtown areas, such as the redevelopment of LaGrange, Illinois, as well as a mixed-use project in downtown Park Ridge. Her ability to develop excellent relationships with clients and tenants allow the implementation of meaningful action plans that result in bottom line success for Mid-America and the clients they serve. Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. has realized growth in excess of 500% over the last 12 years.
In Ms. Panovich’s earlier tenure with Erie Development from 1988 through 1990, as Vice President of Management she was responsible for the management and revitalization of distressed shopping centers. Prior to that, Ms. Panovich held a position in the Equity Properties Construction Management Division, responsible for the redevelopment of major properties. Most notably, she managed the redevelopment of Ford City Mall.
Ms. Panovich holds a Bachelor in Business from Davenport College of Business; an Associate Degree in Art from Grand Rapids Junior College, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the
Urban Land Institute (ULI), Women in Retail Leasing (WIRL) and a past President of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ms. Panovich also serves on the Board of Directors of Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois, the Goldie B. Wolfe Women Leaders in Real Estate Advisory Committee, the Marquette University Center for Real Estate Advisory Board-Curriculum Committee, and was the past President of the College of DuPage Foundation Board.
