Chicago Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network Named
National “Network of the Year”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 15, 2011
The Chicago Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) was named Network of the Year by the National Association of REALTORS® at the 2011 REALTOR® Conference & Expo in Anaheim, Calif. Awards were presented to associations by size on Friday, Nov. 11; the C.A.R. YPN won in the category of “large board.”
The C.A.R. YPN has grown exponentially since it was established two years ago. Run by an Advisory Board of established young REALTORS® who are committed to becoming a resource for all REALTORS®, the group hosts educational, networking and other professional development events. It also recently launched a YPN Mentor Series to invite experienced Chicago REALTORS® to share insight with their younger colleagues.
“It is exciting and rewarding to see our Young Professionals Network thrive, and a great testament to the young practitioners who’ve put significant time, thought and creativity into shaping a program that is fulfilling an important need,” said Ginger Downs, CEO of C.A.R. “The members of our YPN are reaching out beyond their own group to bring new vitality to the entire Chicago real estate community.”
Nationally, a YPN organization encompasses more than 200 local and state chapters designed to help younger REALTORS® connect with each other and tap into valuable resources that will help them gain business savvy and succeed.
The C.A.R. YPN also engages in volunteer work to serve Chicago neighborhoods several times throughout the year. For more information, visit ChicagoREALTOR.com/YPN.
